Renovation of a civil project in Yemassee, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade water / sewer project; one-story above grade development; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Beaufort County's Land Preservation Department is seeking qualified contractors to renovate several water management features located within and associated with historic rice fields on Pocotaligo Preserve. The goal of phase 1 renovations is to improve water exchange and promote drainage in canals associated with the system. Additionally, the project includes renovating a historic dike and installing a water control structure to create a drainage impoundment that will improve water circulation in the fields. The County has obtained a Managed Tidal Impoundment General Permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the proposed renovations, and any additional permitting needed will be handled by the County and their management consultant. Proposals, to be considered, must be submitted electronically through the Procurement Portal. All submittals will be evaluated by a Selection Committee based on established criteria. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, negotiate with qualified firms, or cancel the solicitation if deemed in the County's best interest. All proposers should utilize the project information provided as the basis to clarify their proposals.
