Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a company with an A-1 best rating, in the amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to Elmhurst Park District, 375 W. First St., Elmhurst, IL 60126. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Owner. Bid Bonds of unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as possible as practicable after opening and checking the bids. Successful bidder must complete a prequalification process and be approved with the Construction Manager's Subcontract Default Insurance Program for the full amount of the Subcontract. This is a Prevailing Wage Schedule Project and the contractor, and all sub-contractors are to pay the prevailing wage for Du Page/Cook County for the life of the project and are responsible for keeping up with all changes. Certified payroll is required on this project by both general and sub-contractors. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bid and to waive any informalities in bidding.
