AML - Crown Hill Refuse Slide and Drainage. Agency Request for Quote (ARFQ). Category: Construction. LOCATION / SITE DESCRIPTION The project is located in Kanawha County WV in the Crown Hill town. The project consists of six (6) collapsed closed portals and closing one (1) open portal and construction of a retaining wall along Route 61. Directions to site: From Charleston, Take I 77 South/I 64 East to Exit 85 (Cheylan/Cedar Grove) and follow ramp to first traffic light. At traffic light turn right and follow ramp down to traffic light and turn left onto State Route 61 south toward East Bank. Follow State Route 61 south for approximately 4.42 miles. There is a small pull off along left side of road to park. Site begins on right side of road (upslope side of mountain) SCOPE OF WORK The work covered by the Special Provisions and Technical Specifications consists of furnishing all labor, plant, power, equipment, and supplies, and performing all operations necessary for the completion of the project. The Contractor shall perform all operations necessary for: Install Dry Mine Seals Install Wet Mine Seals Install Standard Bat Gats Disposal of garbage including tires, trash, and metal Revegetate all areas disturbed by construction. Construction of retaining wall to stabilize the slides Construction and improvements to temporary access roads to the portals The Contractor shall also be responsible for surveying, including establishing construction baseline, measuring, and developing all completed quantities on the job, and the ordering, purchase, and delivery of any and all materials required for construction or required for development of support areas. The Contractor shall perform all other operations incidental to the program as specified herein. Questions submitted at least five (5) business days prior to a scheduled pre-bid will be discussed at the pre-bid meeting if possible. Any discussions or answers to questions at the pre-bid meeting are preliminary in nature and are non-binding. Official and binding answers to questions will be published in a written addendum to the Solicitation prior to bid opening. 4.
