The new shelter will be located between the existing shelter and an existing dog park. The new facility will benefit from the synergy of its contiguous active outdoor neighbors. The old shelter will be adapted into a covered open air community center at the head of an existing park trail. The property will be 5 acres, 4,150 square-foot building, 158 habitats, and 3 exercise yards. As of November 20, 2025, the project is in design.
