The City of Hampton is seeking bids from qualified bidders to provide a sanitary sewer re-route on Coliseum Drive Question Deadline 12/02/2025 at 4:30 PM ET All questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing, telephonic inquiries will not be considered. This project involves the rerouting of approximately 2,430 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer force main from the existing PS-118 at 1601 Coliseum Drive to an existing 16-inch force main near 179 Pine Chapel Road. The existing pump station is in the rear of the parking lot for the Hampton Coliseum and the new force main is routed through City-owned grassed area, City right-of-way, and an easement through a parking lot near the Pine Chapel Road/Coliseum Drive intersection. A failing force main valve allowing discharge into a sanitary sewer manhole at 179 Pine Chapel Road is to be removed and the pipe capped to prevent future discharges into the gravity main. Any work not covered by the Project Specifications or the City of Hampton Public Works Design and Construction Standards is expected to be performed in accordance with the most current HRPDC Regional Construction Standards. An upcoming VDOT roadway project in Pine Chapel Road is scheduled to begin in late summer 2026. Any work in Pine Chapel Road not completed prior to the VDOT project start will need to be coordinated with that project.
