Renovation of an educational facility in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Boiler replacements at School Board Office, W.S. Lafargue Elementary, and Larose-Cut Off Middle Schools. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with the project name, the project number (LPSD-2501), date, contractor's name, address, license number, and "Sealed Bid Enclosed." Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check drawn on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the Lafourche Parish School Board. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount before a contract is issued. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the receipt of bids. The work must be completed within one-hundred eighty (180) calendar days from the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed for delays beyond the prescribed completion date. Bids must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form provided with the bidding documents. Bid prices must specifically exclude all taxes, but should include any shipping charges if applicable. Only licensed contractors and/or subcontractors may be issued bid sheets. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at W.S. Lafargue Elementary School. Questions should be directed to the engineer listed in the instructions.
