Site work for a detention facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade detention facility.
Electronic bids are being accepted by the State Engineer on behalf of the South Dakota Department of Corrections for the Men's Level V Correctional Facility - Earthwork at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls. Bidders may review the site independently as there will not be a pre-bid meeting. Plans and specifications can be obtained at the office of Sayre Associates, and are to be used solely for the purpose of submitting a bid on the project. Each bid exceeding $100,000 must be accompanied by either a pre-mailed certified check, cashier's check, or draft in the amount of 5% of the base bid and all add alternates, or a copy of a 10% bid bond uploaded to the electronic bid, issued by an authorized surety. Bids must be made payable to the Department of Corrections of the State of South Dakota. The Department of Corrections reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. Question Deadline 11/07/2025 Any person who plans to bid on the project may submit to the Owner a written request for an interpretation of any part of the Plans and Specifications or Contract Documents. Requests for interpretations shall be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the opening of bids There will NOT be a Pre-Bid Meeting, prospective bidders may review the site on their own.
