Description

Renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in New York, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade warehouse / distribution facility.

**As of December 16, 2025 project rejected all bids. No definite date for rebid. ** The Town of Portage is seeking construction repair services for the Salt Storage Shed. Work must be completed according to the engineered drawings provided by Hager Engineering. The project is located off Smith Hill Rd., Hunt, NY, 14846. Bidders are required to follow all NYS Prevailing Wage Guidelines. Bids must be sealed and either mailed or delivered to the specified address. Bidders must provide proof of insurance meeting or exceeding NY State minimums required for municipal work and must be registered NY State contractors. All work must adhere strictly to the engineered specifications; no changes are allowed unless approved by engineering. See attached documents for further details. They can be repaired by "sandwiching" the steel plates with 5/8" plywood on each side and installing structural screws through (see examples). These plywood pieces to extend 4" past the steel on the ends and 2" on top and bottom. At locations where more than 2 members are joined, use similar guidance. It may be necessary to use a large clamp get the steel dimples to reset in the wood, and it is important that they do.
