Site and space planning services will support a range of efforts to meet ongoing and evolving needs under a Master Agreement. Activities include developing proficiency with foundational Laboratory documents such as the Campus Master Plan, Campus Massing Study, 2025 Long Range Development Plan/EIR, LBNL Annual Laboratory Plan, and various facilities databases and archives. General site features and systems to be addressed include landscaping, erosion control, roadways, parking, sidewalks, accessibility compliance, storm drainage, signage, transportation infrastructure, security elements, and social spaces. Site utilities such as power, water, gas, telecommunications, and lighting, along with mechanical and electrical infrastructure, are also included. Facilities-related services encompass new construction, rehabilitations, repairs, alterations, roofing, and M/E/P system upgrades. Additional tasks involve space audits, utilization studies, consolidations, refreshes, repurposing, surge space planning, and move logistics. The agreement also includes periodic meetings, site visits, and the delivery of architectural and engineering reports, planning options, cost estimates, graphics, and renderings.
