Ready Mix Cement - Public Works Notice is hereby given that the City of Laredo is now accepting sealed bids (IFB 2026-008) subject to the terms and conditions and other contract provisions, for awarding a contract for the purchase ofReady Mix Cement for the Public Works and various City Departments. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit their bids electronically through use of Cit-e-bid or in person by hand delivery. Mailed bids (such as USPS, FedEx, UPS), telegraphic, emails or facsimile bids will not be considered. All requests for bids for contracts will be evaluated with a 5% preference for local vendors according to the City of Laredo's Local Vendor Preference Ordinance 2018-o-175. Term of Contract The term of this contract shall be for a period of two (2) year beginning as of the date of its execution. The contract may be extended for an additional one (1) two (2) year periods. Should the vendor desire to extend the contract for the additional one year period, it must so notify the City in writing no later than sixty (60) days before the expiration of the prior term.
