Scope of Work includes installing a new wet well, submersible pumps, and 6 force main with valves and all appurtenances; installing an 18 gravity sanitary sewer line to new lift station; demolishing the top of the existing lift station and filling in the wet well with select fill; removing the existing valve box; removing the existing drying beds onsite; installing a crushed limestone access road; pad preparation for future WWTP tanks; and all electrical work shown on construction plans. Instructions to bidders: Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashiers check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, guaranteeing that the successful bidder will enter into the contract documents and execute the bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates and bonds within seven (7) days after receiving the contract documents. If a certified or cashiers check is provided, it must be delivered to the bid opening address at the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or the bidding process except the time for submitting a bid. Bid package submittals that do not include all completed forms listed in the Bid Form Section 1.0 D Bid Supplements may be considered non-responsive. The successful bidder will be the responsible bidder judged most advantageous to the District and resulting in the best and most economical completion of the project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply, and the contract documents may be terminated if the bidder knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter.
