This project will consist of the removal and replacement of a hangar door and other incidental items at 522 Skyway Street in the City of Pueblo, Colorado, as detailed in the plans and specifications. Installers are required to be badged by the Airport due to the project's location inside the Air Operations Area. Badging requirements include a valid state issued ID and either a valid passport, SSN card, birth certificate, or I94/I94A. Summary In general, this project will consist of the removal and replacement of a hangar door and other incidental items at 522 Skyway Street in the City of Pueblo, Colorado Background The Airport is controlled by a TSA Airport Security Plan. Installers will need to be badged by the Airport because the project is inside the Air Operations Area. Badging requirements include a valid state issued ID (driver's license if the person will be operating a motor vehicle) and either a valid passport -or- SSN card -or- birth certificate -or- I94/I94A. Question Submission Deadline: November 17, 2025, 4:00pm online question deadline Any inquiries regarding seeming inconsistencies between the Plans and Specifications for this project must be made by above date and time. INSTALL DOOR HANGAR This bid item shall include all cost to successfully install one SCHWEISS 59' wide by 23' high bifold hangar door. New bifold hangar door shall be bid on as a complete door system, to include but not limited to, power system to lift door, power upgrades, switches, remotes, sheathing, 2-inch thick insulation, transparent sheathing for lighting, trim, seals, and safety sensors. Schweiss bifold door specs are the basis for design for this project and are included as an attachment to this project. Approved alternate bifold door manufactures will be considered of equal quality and materials, please see Special Provisions Section 3.5 Approved Equal submittals for instructions on submitting a product for approved equal. Contractor shall provide a Professional Engineer to evaluate existing building components and provide a professional opinion letter stating that existing features can support new hangar door. Professional Engineer will also provide electrical design services for new hangar door load requirements. All electrical upgrades up meet current code requirements and required load specifications for new hangar door shall be included in this bid item. New bifold hangar door dimensions shown are approximate. Contractor will be responsible to verify all dimensions before installing. Contractor will be required to provide (3) Stamped Engineered drawings for bifold door with load calculations and electrical design for Pueblo Regional Building Department, Airport Department and Contractor to use for permitting and construction. All permits and plan review fees shall be included in this bid item. Contractor shall provide a certified electrician to install new electrical connection of new hangar door.
