PROPERTY LOCATIONS: Tree trimming and removal services may be required at various Pueblo County-owned properties managed by the Department of Public Works and its divisions. Introduction This Scope of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for providing professional tree trimming and removal services on Pueblo County-owned properties in Pueblo, Colorado. The services shall ensure the health, safety, and aesthetic value of trees while adhering to standard landscaping practices, including those established by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A300 Tree Care Standards and the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Best Management Practices (BMPs). All work must comply with applicable City of Pueblo code enforcement policies and Pueblo County Unified Development Code (UDC) regulations, particularly those related to vegetation maintenance, tree preservation, and public property standards. The contractor shall prioritize tree preservation where possible, minimize environmental impact, and ensure public safety. The project may include, but is not limited to, properties such as parks, rights-of-way, administrative buildings, and other county-managed lands under the Department of Public Works and its divisions. Services will be provided on an as-needed, on-call basis over the 3-year contract term, with billing based solely on the labor rates submitted in the bid, differentiated by tree size, location, and emergency status. 2. Scope of Services The contractor shall perform the following services as needed, based on county directives and requests. All work shall be conducted by qualified personnel, such as ISA-certified arborists, using appropriate equipment and safety measures. Services are on-call; no fixed schedule or minimum volume is guaranteed. Bids are requested for on-call tree trimming and removal services based on labor rates differentiated by tree size, location, and emergency status. Services are to be provided to various Pueblo County-owned properties as indicated in the Property Locations section of the bid.
