All questions about the meaning or intent of any ambiguity, or any inconsistency, discrepancy, omission, or error in the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required - License Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 50 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of East Lansing, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, which shall be forfeited to the City of East Lansing if the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fails to enter into a Contract within ten (10) days after the Contract is awarded. The unsuccessful bidders' checks or bid bonds will be returned upon final award of Contract, approved, and executed. *The City of East Lansing reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive defects in proposals, and to make the award in its own best interest.
