Remodeling of an educational facility in Riverside, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Each bidder and all subcontractors shall be licensed contractors pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed to perform the work called for in the contract documents. License Classification: C-15. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the contract documents as defined in the General Conditions. Each bidder shall submit, on the form furnished with the contract documents, a list of designated subcontractors required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act. The District permits the substitution of securities for moneys withheld to ensure performance. Each bid must be accompanied by security equal to at least ten percent of the total bid price, in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond from a California admitted surety. It is mandatory for contractors and subcontractors to pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages. Contractors or subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified to perform public work under the applicable Labor Code. Formal AB2031 prequalification is required for prime bidders and mechanical, electrical, or plumbing subcontractors holding specified license classifications. Separate payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the total contract amount, are required. A three percent participation goal for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (D.V.B.E.) is established, or bidders must make a good faith effort toward this goal and report actual participation at the project's conclusion. Requests for substitutions must follow procedures and deadlines indicated in the contract documents. Bidders are encouraged to review the requirements for approval, manufacture, delivery, installation, and other work prior to submitting a bid. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening. Furnish and install, remove and replace specified flooring as needed throughout the district.
