The Contractor will manage all implementation duties, including, but not limited to: seedling allocation revisions, ribbon refresh as necessary, facilities inspections (planter's camp, reefers, field caches), creation of treatment maps (e.g. post-planting maps showing Request Key locations), office and field pre-work, site inspections, ongoing quality control and final pay plots/ Payment Certificates, RESULTS data updating (planting activity and forest cover for all planting units, and regen delay for only GFS funded units), and other related duties. Implementation of the Spring tree planting contract of 34 units and an estimated total of 479,783 trees, in the Bulkley TSA (approximately 233 hectares). 16 of the units are NSR Small Scale Salvage units funded through the district Forest Stand Management Fund (GFS) (101,363 trees). 18 of the units are post free-growing plantations, most between 20-30 years old, that burnt in recent wildfires (2 units in 2018 and 16 units in 2023) funded through the provincial Forest Investment Program (FIP) (378,420 trees). Site prep was expected to occur on FIP funded blocks but WILL NOT be happening. Site prep treatment maps and areas have been included in this posting with the expectation that some of the area layed out for site prep will be unplantable.
