Renovation of an educational facility in La Junta, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Scope of Services _ Upgrade, replace and provide new code compliant mechanical and electrical systems for 16 weld booths and over 37 pieces of welding equipment. _ Provide a new automatic sprinkler system for the welding shop and potentially accompanying restrooms and classrooms (Add. Alter. #1) _ Provide new code compliant lighting in weld shop. _ Provide a new fire room to house the new automatic sprinkler system (and existing domestic water system on a separate water line) sized for fire suppression for the entire McDivitt Hall building including the future expansion. _ Replace non-code compliant fire glass between classroom/office and weld shop and in existing doors containing glass. _ Provide new eye was station with shower, new mop sink in the weld shop, and ADA compliant drinking fountains with bottle filler in the adjacent hallway to the weld shop. _ Remove fixtures and patch walls to bring ADA compliance in the adjacent restrooms. _ Add Alternate #1: Provide an automatic sprinkler system for the classrooms, office and restrooms to the south of the weld shop. _Add Alternate #2: Provide new wall and floor finishes, ceiling tiles and grid, plumbing fixtures and accessories to the restrooms. The scope of services will include full Construction Contracting Services for the project specified during the process of construction and warranty period to the State as per the Advertisement for Bid. Specific tasks to be performed by the Contractor include those generally performed by the construction community where the Contractor is the prime vendor to the State. Bidders shall reference the drawings, specifications, and supporting documents in the Appendices for an understanding of the entire scope of the project. Per C.R.S. _38-26-106, if a contract amounts to $150,000 or more, the awarded contractor shall provide payment and performance bonds not less than 50% of the value of the contract. The costs associated with this bond are to be included in the contractor's bid.
