THE PROJECT consists of removal and trimming of tree obstructions within Runway 5 and Runway 23 Approaches to Tri-Cities Airport. Work shall consist of tree clearing, removal or trimming of trees of varying diameter, disposal of tree debris off site, site restoration, maintenance of traffic, and other incidental work. BIDDERS All bidders are responsible for compliance with Federal and State requirements for preparation and submission of the proposal. The successful bidder shall be responsible for compliance with Federal and State Requirements in the Contract Agreement. Contractor will be required to have a valid Tennessee Contractor's License Number by project commencement date. furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work connected with the Runway Tree Obstruction Mitigation. BID GUARANTY Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond from a Surety Company acceptable to the Owner or a cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Tri-Cities Airport Authority for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid. A 100% contract bond will be required upon successful bid as part of the execution of the project contracts. RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bids received, to the extent permitted by applicable law, and to accept any bid which, in its sole discretion, is in the best interest of the Owner. Proposals/bids are required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for the duration outlined in General Contract Provisions 30-02, but the Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. FEDERAL AVIATION REGULATIONS. For Airport Improvement Program (AIP) contracts, this solicitation shall conform to the requirements of the laws and ordinances pertaining to the letting of contracts and, in addition, shall conform to the requirements of Part 152 of the Federal Aviation Administration Regulations (14 CFR \c 152) applicable to the Contract and stated in the contract documents.
