The City of Claxton, Georgia is requesting statements of qualifications from experienced firms interested in providing engineering services related to the planning, design, and hydrologic and hydraulic study services for the replacement and upsizing of two existing culverts and the restoration of Pine Street to pre-disaster conditions. The project includes evaluating and providing evidence that demonstrates the need to upsize the existing Pine Street culverts, preparing a detailed design plan for upsizing the culverts and repairing the roadway, replacing concrete pipe sections, backfilling with native soil so the culverts can adequately handle stormwater, and completing final road repairs including asphalt and concrete curbs. The work aims to reduce risks to civil infrastructure by upsizing the culvert pipes to handle stormwater, reduce road washouts, and repair the damaged roadway. Responding firms must be technically qualified and licensed in Georgia. Statements of qualifications must be submitted through the DFS Procurement Portal by the specified deadline. The City reserves the right to accept or reject responses and to waive informalities in the proposal process.
