Demolition and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hawley, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
Demolition and replacement of MassDOT Bridge #c-05-054 superstructure on Legate Hill Rd in Charlemont. Prequalification by MassDOT is required for this project. The class of work is bridge construction and the total project value is estimated at $412,093. FRCOG is administering this bid on behalf of the Town of Charlemont. Request bid specifications from frcog.org/bids. There will be no pre-bid meeting. BRIDGE #C-05-054 Deadline for Written Questions December 2, 2025, 4PM change from 12/16/2025 02:00 PM There will be no pre-bid meeting. Potential contractors are invited to visit the project site and send written questions via email to the FRCOG Assistant Procurement Officer at ebatchelder@frcog.org The work includes the superstructure replacement of Bridge C-05-054. The demolition of the existing superstructure for Bridge C-05-054 includes removing the existing steel beams, the existing stay-in-place deck, and portions of the existing concrete curtain walls. The replacement structure will consist of a gluelaminated timber deck panel with glue-laminated transverse timber stiffeners. It also includes installing a glue-laminated timber bridge railing and steel thrie beam approach guardrail and paving the bridge and approaches for Bridge C-05-054.
