The City of Richmond Public Works Department requires the purchase and delivery of irrigation supplies, tools, and parts to support ongoing park and landscape maintenance operations. These materials are essential for maintaining and repairing irrigation systems throughout City parks, medians, and landscaped public areas. Competitive bidding ensures cost efficiency, quality standards, and availability of compatible components for the City’s irrigation infrastructure. Renewal is contingent upon vendor performance, continued need, and the availability of funds. The City anticipates expenditures of approximately $100,000 annually for irrigation supplies, tools, and parts combined. This figure is provided for informational and evaluation purposes only and does not represent a commitment or guarantee by the City. Irrigation supply items, tools, and components to be provided shall conform to the schedule of items included in price list (or approved equivalent). The City reserves the right to inspect and test materials to ensure compliance with specifications and may reject any items determined to be nonconforming. General Requirements The City of Richmond Public Works Department (Operations & Maintenance – Parks and Landscaping Division) is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the supply and delivery of irrigation system components, including valves, rotors, nozzles, fittings, solenoids, pipe accessories, adhesives, and other related irrigation parts. • All materials shall meet industry standards for performance, durability, and safety. • Pricing shall include delivery to designated City job sites or the Corporation Yard (as coordinated with City staff). • All products must be new, unused, and in manufacturer’s original packaging. • Substitutions or equivalent parts must be pre-approved by the City prior to order fulfillment. • Quotations must include all applicable charges, including delivery, fuel surcharges, and offloading fees if applicable.
