The project consists of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Furnish and install a complete 80KW natural gas generator with concrete pad and weather enclosure. Work includes extending a natural gas line from the existing connection on Industrial Park Drive to the new generator location. All bids should be addressed as follows: BID ENCLOSED: AIRFIELD VAULT GENERATOR PERRY FOLEY AIRPORT Taylor County Board of County Commissioners Attention: Clerk's Office 108 North Jefferson Street Perry, Florida 32347 Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total quote must be submitted with the quote. The quote security may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Quote security shall be made payable to Taylor County BOCC. The successful contractor must be able to furnish proof of required insurance, a 100% Performance Bond, and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and shall begin execution of this contract within five (5) calendar days following the date of the Notice to Proceed. Taylor County has an approved Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for Airport Improvement Program projects, which the successful contract must comply with. The DBE participation goal for this project is 4.78% and compliance requirements are listed in the project documents. The Taylor County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right, it its sole and absolute discretion, to reject, to cancel, or withdraw this bid at any time and waive any irregularities in the bid process. The County reserves the right to award any contract to the respondent which it deems to offer the best overall service; therefore, the County is not bound to award any contract based on the lowest quoted price. The County, in its sole and absolute discretion, also reserves the right to waive any minor defects in the process and to accept the bid deemed to be in the County's best interest.
