Site work for a water / sewer project in Miramar, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
SBDD is accepting bids for the rebuilding of three (3) stormwater pumps at three separate locations. Contractor must be licensed and insured. The principal items of the contract include, but are not limited to, rebuilding of three stormwater pumps. The project locations are at the SBDD S-5, S-7, and S-8 Pump Stations. Project Title: SBDD Rebuilding of Stormwater Pumps Project Location #1: S-5 Pump Station at 5500 SW 172nd Ave. Miramar, FL 33029 Location #2: S-7 Pump Station at 4301 SW 124th Ave. Miramar, FL 33027 Location #3: S-8 Pump Station at 17221 SW 46th St. Southwest Ranches, FL 33331 Substantial Completion - (90) consecutive calendar days + (15) consecutive calendar days from the date of Substantial Completion for Final Completion. The following work items are included in the Base Bid lump sum price for the rebuild of each pump under this Bid/Contract: A. Mobilization to include, but not be limited to, the mobilization of Contractor's personnel, equipment and supplies from pump station to Contractor's facility; the establishment of the Contractor's staging area, temporary facilities, security, and restoration of staging area; pre-work inspection and documentation; and all other costs incurred for activities which must be performed prior to beginning the work under this contract; and the removal of the Contractor's equipment, supplies and cleanup of the pump station sites, as needed to complete the work. There shall be no separate payment for mobilization. B. Contractor shall provide all labor and equipment to remove, rebuild and reinstall the pumps at the S-5, S-7, S-8 Pump Stations. C. Contractor shall be responsible to meet all gear drive company standards in the removal, and installation of the existing gear drives. D. Contractor shall provide crane to remove and reinstall pumps and gear drives as necessary. E. Contractor shall be responsible for bolting down onto the existing concrete 3/4 " plywood or a steel plate to cover the void where the pump was removed and to place four (4) barricades surrounding the cover plate with "Caution" tape. F. Contractor shall transport pumps and gear drives to and from the S-5, S-7, S-8 Pump Stations and the Contractor's facility. G. Contractor shall provide and install new grade "A" stainless steel hardware and lubricants and new gasket on pump flanges required to complete pump repairs. H. Contractor shall inspect line shaft for each pump. I. Contractor shall provide and install new Thordon water lubricated bearings and install flange bearing and ring seals for each pump (S-5 #3, S-7 #3, S-8 #3). J. Contractor shall install a dowel pin at the base of each pump shaft between the suction bell to the column pipe to maintain proper concentricity down the entire pump for each pump. K. Contractor shall provide and install new lifting eyes on gusset plates. Contact SBDD for more information. L. Contractor shall remove the existing gear drives from the pumps, and perform a visual inspection, and replace all seals and lubricants. M. Paint for gear head: The gear head shall be pressure cleaned then painted with Rustoleum paint, or approved equal in Enamel Gray. N. Contractor shall recondition the propellers; clean, weld any cracks, fill in dents and straighten blades and balance, etc. O. Paint for pumps: The interior and exterior of the pumps shall be commercial sandblast cleaned to a minimum (SSPC-SP10) near white finish per manufacturer's specifications and then coated with two (2) coats minimum 6 mils each of BLP Mobile Paints Mo-Tar C-200 black epoxy or approved equal by SBDD. P. Upon completion of work, Contractor shall schedule a final inspection with SBDD. As part of the final inspection, the Contractor shall remain on the site for a 30- minute test run of pump and gear drives.
