The scope of work includes the provision of all labour, materials, and equipment required to perform general and rural road tree maintenance requirements at various locations as required. Work is to be completed after the issuance of an official purchase order, with a schedule submitted to the Project Manager for approval. The contract consists of general and rural road tree maintenance and removal, including all aspects of labour, materials, and equipment. The work is divided into two parts: Pruning/Removals and Provisional Locations. An ISA certified arborist must be on site supervising. Employees are required to have either the 444B utility arborist certification or ISA Certified Arborist Utility Specialist certification when working near energized power or communication lines. Safety requirements approved by Hydro One, Elexicon Energy, and related authorities must be followed. Work must commence within 10 days of contract award and continue consecutively until completed. All work is to be carried out in accordance with terms, conditions, and specifications provided. Bidders must submit electronically via the Municipality’s Bidding System. A bid deposit is required and must be uploaded as part of the submission. Bidders must provide lists of subcontractors, equipment, and trained staff, including training and certification details as required. The contractor must complete at least 25% of the work requirements themselves. Any subcontractor changes after contract award must be authorized prior to work commencement. All documentation, safety standards, and insurance requirements must be met as specified. The Municipality reserves the right to reject or accept any tender in its best interest and to evaluate based on past performance, quality, and compliance. Bids will be irrevocable for 90 days after the closing date. The contractor must comply with all relevant laws and standards, ensure quality workmanship, and correct any defects at no cost to the Municipality within one year of completion. Payment will be based on actual services received and is subject to all stated requirements and terms.
