Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 125,000-square-foot, five-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Kent County has selected Clark Construction Company to provide Construction Management Services for the construction of the new Kent County Administration (KCA) Building Project. This project is not yet designed but may consist of a new five-story facility that is approx. 125,000SFT on a project site located just east of Fuller Ave., immediately north of I-196 in Grand Rapids, MI. The building will consist of several county services and departments, including County Treasury, Clerk, Equalization, County Commission & Administration, Fiscal Services, HR, Legal, Facilities Management, Veteran Services, IT, and Central Services. The interior program is primarily public-facing service areas, offices, training rooms, conference rooms, the County Board Room, and other support areas. The project designer of record is Progressive Companies. Construction could start in the Fall of 2026 and complete in Fall of 2028. Clark Construction Company is soliciting Proposals for Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Trade Partners for Pre-Construction and Construction services for the following Trades: Masonry, Structural Steel, Mass Timber, Metal Panels, Glazing, Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC & Controls, Electrical, Low-Voltage, and FFE. The Kent County Administration (KCA) Building is located just east of Fuller Ave., bounded by I-196 to the south and Bradford St. to the north. This site is located on property owned by Kent County and adjacent to other Kent County facilities on the property. Adjacent County facilities include the existing Network 180 Facility and the Veteran Services building. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after the due date.
