Renovation of a retail development in York, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a retail development.
General, plumbing/fire suppression, and heating/ventilating and air conditioning and electrical construction of the Renovation to Penn Market. Renovations to Penn Market Bids will be received for the following contract(s): General Construction Plumbing Construction HVAC Construction Electrical Construction Project Identification: Renovation to Penn Market 382 West Market Street York, PA 17401 Question Deadline 12/03/2025 at 5:00 PM ET updated from 11/12/2025. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted via online. Each bidder must deposit, with the bid, Security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workmen employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents. All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless award is delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants; in which case, bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978, as amended. . some work may be performed as an alternate. the owner will make a decision at the time of project award, which alternates will be accepted. the contractor submitted phasing plan shall include any owner accepted alternates. 2. a list of alternates follows: alternate # 1: furnish and install work required to construct community room (109), storage (109a) and prep room (109b). work includes, but is not limited to installing finishes, hvac unit, hood, ductwork, diffusers, casework, etc. if accepted, work shall be part of phase 4. alternate # 2: furnish and install structural reinforcement along northeast corner at market street. if accepted, work shall be part of phase 1. alternate #2a: furnish and install structural reinforcement along northwest corner of penn street. if accepted, work shall be part of phase 1. alternate # 3: furnish and install built/constructed dry vendor stalls. if accepted, work shall be part of each associated phase where the work is being performed. alternate # 4: furnish and install new storefront for corner store #117 in lieu of repainting of existing storefront. if accepted, work shall be part of phase 1. alternate #5: furnish and install purchased manufactured wood displays. if accepted, work shall be part of each associated phase they would be supplied under each associated phase where the work is being performed. alternate #6. furnish and install mau-2, kef-7 and rtu-3 and ductwork from rootop equipment to 6" inside community room. if accepted, work shall be part of pha
