It is the intent to secure the services of a Contractor to perform replacement work to successfully restore the functionality and structural integrity of the wastewater collection systems located at 630 Woodbury Drive, Port Charlotte, FL 33954 and the Intersection of Murdock Circle and Education Way, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Local licenses required: Registered/Certified Master Plumber, Registered/Certified Underground Utility or Registered/Certified General. Estimated Budget is: $424,504.50 Note: Statement of No Bid may be emailed to michael.gallagher@charlottecountyfl.gov. Completion Time is 120 calendar days. Liquidated Damages $1,170 per calendar day. Provide and install new manhole,Install new Ring and Cover, Construct Manhole Bench & Invert Channels, Remove 10" sewer pipe and replace with 12" PVC SDR26 sewer pipe, Asphalt Repair, Asphalt mill/overlay, Restoration of roadway and right of way VO-TECH GRAVITY SEWER PIPE REPLACEMENT :- Dewatering, Maintenance of flow, Relocation of the existing generator, Remove the 8" sewer pipe and replace it with an 8" SDR26 PVC sewer pipe PURPOSE: It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of a Contractor to perform replacement work to successfully restore the functionality and structural integrity of the wastewater collection system at two (2) different locations: WOODBURY MANHOLE AND SEWER PIPE - 630 Woodbury Drive, Port Charlotte, FL 33954 VO-TECH GRAVITY SEWER PIPE - Intersection of Murdock Circle and Education Way, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 TS-02 SCOPE OF WORK: The selected method to replace the manhole and sewer pipeline shall be reviewed by Charlotte County Utilities (CCU) prior to the start of construction. This work includes, but is not limited to: o Woodbury Job Instructions: o Remove existing concrete manhole #5211. o Stabilize the ground for the new concrete manhole. o Install a new manhole to the correct elevation. o Removed 10" Ductile Iron Sewer pipe #GM11723. o Core a larger Hole at the Lift Station wet well and at the manhole for the new 12" SDR26 Gravity line and re-coat the interior of the manhole and the lift station per CCU specs. o Replace 10" Ductile Iron sewer pipe # GM11723 with a 12" SDR26 PVC sewer pipe. o Stabilize the ground for the new Sewer pipe. o Reconnect the manhole with the new 12" SDR26 PVC and the other (3) incoming 8" PVC pipes. o Construct Manhole Bench & Inverts Channels. o Install new ring and cover. o Install manhole lining. o Repair the road in accordance with Charlotte County Public Works standards. o Other areas impacted by the construction shall be restored to the original or better condition. o Actual Elevations: Manhole (MH-5211) Rim = 12.412 Location Orientation Size(In) Material Elevation Invert coming from MH-5187 North 8 PVC 14.06 Invert #1 coming from MH-5202 South 8 PVC 13.89 Invert #2 coming from MH-5202 South 8 PVC 8.02 Invert going to Lift Station 45 West 10 DI 14.11 o Vo-tech Job Instructions: o Place bypass pumping at the manhole (MH5178) in front of the lift station. o Monitor the flow coming to manhole MH 7774 all the time. o Removed and secured all electrical and signal cables between the generator and telemetry tower. o Disconnect the electrical conduit at the Telemetry tower and transfer switch. o Drain fuel from the generator tank. o Remove the Generator from the pad and placed it in a secure area to avoid damage. o Carefully remove the concrete pad. o Plug the incoming lines into the manhole (MH7774) o Plug the line coming from the manhole to the lift station at the lift station. o Plug line coming from manhole MH5178 at the lift station. o Bypass the lift station. o Dig out the collapsed 8" Cast iron sewer line and replaced it with an 8-inch SDR26 PVC. o Connect the new line to the manhole (MH774) and Lift Station 25. o Fill the dug area and compact it to prepare for a new generator pad. o Remove all plugs and place the lift station and the replaced sewer pipe back on service. o Install new conduits from the transfer switch and telemetry unit to the future concrete pad. o Construct a new concrete pad for the generator to the same specs as the original: 66" x 144" x 11.6".
