The intent is to rehabilitate aging building sewers, extend service life, reduce infiltration/exfiltration, and restore reliable service without full pipe replacement. Charlotte Water is seeking qualified contractors to provide trenchless relining methods to sewer drain lines 6 inches in diameter or smaller located in industrial and administrative facilities. The intent is to rehabilitate aging building sewers, extend service life, reduce infiltration/exfiltration, and restore reliable service without full pipe replacement. Services to be Provided The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to complete sewer relining services, including but not limited to: o Preliminary Assessment o Review available building drawings and access points (cleanouts, manholes, interior floor drains). o Conduct pre-construction CCTV inspection to verify alignment, condition, and diameter. o Submit proposed lining system, materials, and curing method for approval. o Preparation & Cleaning o Provide flow management (temporary bypass or flow control) as needed to maintain building operations. o Mechanically or hydraulically clean sewer lines to remove grease, roots, debris, and scale. o Confirm pipe is clean and suitable for relining prior to installation. o Relining Installation o Install cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner or approved equivalent suitable for <=6" building drains. o Ensure liner provides a continuous, corrosion-resistant, structurally sound interior pipe. o Reinstate all service connections using robotic cutting or equivalent methods. o Testing & Verification o Conduct post-installation CCTV inspection to verify full liner integrity and service reinstatement. o Perform leakage or air testing if required by specifications. o Provide final video files and inspection reports. o Site Restoration o Restore any interior or exterior surfaces (floors, landscaping, access points) disturbed by construction to equal or better condition. o Remove all equipment, debris, and temporary facilities from site upon completion.
