The project consists of the renovation and expansion of the Putnam County Library located at 50 East Broad Street, Cookeville, TN. The new addition includes a 2-story, 3,500 square foot structure with an elevator and rooftop patio. Renovation work will rework the existing stairs, lower-level patio, and accessible parking. All bidders must be licensed contractors for this type of construction pursuant to Tennessee state regulations. The successful bidder must furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The contractor must also be registered with SAM.gov and comply with federal requirements associated with Treasury, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Putnam County reserves the right to negotiate with the successful bidder on alternatives or changes to the bid, and to waive irregularities or reject any or all bids in the county's best interest.
