As of December 01, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on December 08, 2025. Work includes upgrading existing lighting fixtures from HID to LED technology at six parks, specifically the Lakefront Path, Smith Park, Lovelace Park, Mason Park, Eggleston Park, and Perry Park. The retrofitting of existing fixtures is proposed. Bidders must submit electronically via E-bidding through DemandStar, with registration required. A disclosure of ownership interest statement form must be submitted with each bid. The City may reject any or all submittals or accept those deemed most advantageous. The City Council reserves the right to award the contract to an Evanston firm if that firm's bid is within 5% of the low bid. The contract will be awarded without discrimination as specified, and the prevailing wage must be paid in accordance with Illinois law.
