Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Chokio, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; and one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
Proposals are solicited for the replacement of Bridge No. 50513 and Bridge No. 50514 with new Bridge Nos. 50605 and 50604, including approach roadway reconstruction and related work. The scope includes bridge removal, bridge construction, excavation, grading, aggregate base, full depth reclamation, bituminous surfacing, erosion control, turf establishment, and appurtenant construction along approximately 0.4 miles on CSAH 7 (280th Street / 660th Avenue) over the North Branch Root River in Dexter and Sargeant Townships, Mower County, Minnesota. Major quantities include excavation, aggregate and shoulder base, bituminous mixtures, structural concrete, reinforcement, bridge slab concrete, bridge removal, piling, filter berm, silt fence, erosion prevention, seeding, and associated items. Proposals must be electronically submitted, accompanied by a bidders bond or certified check equal to at least 5% of the total proposal amount, and may be rejected or awarded at the discretion of the Board of County Commissioners. Contractors are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, predetermined minimum wage rates, and related requirements. Equal opportunity, compliance with business enterprise participation goals, and Minnesota Human Rights compliance certification are required for all bidders. Failure to implement an affirmative action plan may result in revocation of certificates or contracts.
