Site work and paving for a civil project in Mankato, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The major items of WORK include: The PROJECT will replace existing cast iron watermains. The approximate quantities and major components include: approximately 27,500 lf of 2, 4, 6 and 8-inch C900 PVC waterlines utilizing a combination of HDD and open trench methods; 365 lf of 10 and 12-inch cased bore; 9,230 If of 1" and 2" HDPE service lines; 223 service connections, new meter pits, 220 new AMR meters (5/8" & 2") to interface with the existing radio read and billing system; 82 gate valves; 41 fire hydrants, 1 bulk water station; all fittings, connections, abandonments, surface restorations, seeding, erosion and traffic control, coordination with local utility companies and all other items for a complete and operating as intended system. Bid Security of 5% will be required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidder qualifications may be required in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. Owner reserves the right to reject Bids and to waive irregularities. Project Funding: This project is funded by USDA Rural Development (USDA RD) and the Kansas Public Water Supply Loan Fund (KPWSLF) Compliance with the following: Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the presidents Executive Order No. 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. All contracts and subcontracts exceeding $100,000, at any tier under a SRF Loan Agreement shall comply with the Anti-Lobbying Act, Section 319 of Public Law 101-121, and file an Anti-Lobbying Certification form, and the Disclosure of Lobbying Activities form, if required, to the next tier above. Domestic Preference This project is subject to Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58, 70901-70953. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States. The following waivers apply to this Contract: BABAA De Minimis, Small Grants, and Minor Components
