The services sought are for a Project Management Consultant to assist in administering, overseeing, and completing on time and within budget the installation of a fixed fire suppression system inside both the Hugh L. Carey and Queens Midtown Tunnels, as well as performing structural repairs to the exhaust air ducts in both tunnels. At the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel, an FFSS prototype system was previously installed, and this system is to be extended along the full tunnel and fully integrated with the existing infrastructure. At the Queens Midtown Tunnel, a completely new system must be installed, as no current FFSS exists. The contract will be 100% capital funded. To participate, vendors must be registered with the federal System for Award Management (SAM) and possess an MTA Bidder/Supplier Number. Minority and women-owned sub-contracting goals are each set at 15%, with a service-disabled veteran-owned business goal of 6%.
