Site work for a water / sewer project in Joliet, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are invited for improvements including the installation of approximately 4,610 linear feet of 4-inch to 16-inch water main. The procurement will be funded in part by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) and may also utilize funds from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The project is subject to regulations and requirements including the Public Water Supply Loan Program rules (35 IAC Part 662), the Davis-Bacon Act, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act Apprenticeship Initiative, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise policy (40 CFR Part 33), and "Use of American Iron and Steel" requirements from Section 436 of H.R. 3547. Compliance with WIFIA (Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act) is required. Bidders are expected to attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference.
