Site work for a water / sewer project in Falls City, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Replacing and installing new 6" PVC main line on Gilbert St. from N. Pecan St. to past N. Hopkins St., N. Hopkins St., Terrell St. from N. Hopkins St. to N Nelson St., N. Nelson St. from W. Cooper St. to Terrell St., W. Cooper St. form N. Hopkins St. to W. Irvin St. 2. When all tests are accepted, the existing water services along these new lines will be connected to the new main line. 3. The existing fire hydrants will be connected to the new main line as well. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available at specified locations. Hard copies may be obtained by depositing $100 with the Engineer for each set, refundable if returned in good condition within 10 days after the bid opening. An electronic copy is available free of charge. Bidders must inform themselves of all addenda issued. Submit questions in writing by the specified deadline. A bid bond of 5 percent of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, is required for contracts exceeding $100,000. Certified checks or bank drafts payable to the City of Falls City or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. At least the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid. The successful bidder must ensure against discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Falls City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. All contractors/subcontractors debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity under this project. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days for review and investigation prior to contract award.
