Completed plans call for the demolition of a 7,990-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The scope of work includes the demolition of an existing masonry wall constructed Animal Shelter building, and the construction of a new 7,990 SF Emergency Medical Services Facility along with all exterior grading, drainage, asphalt, concrete, fencing, and landscaping. The building will consist of one story with unprotected load bearing masonry walls, light gage steel roof trusses, metal decking, and standing seam metal roofing. The facility will feature a fully automatic monitored sprinkler system and fire alarm & detection system, residential living space, and a 3-bay vehicle apparatus. Instructions to bidders state that bidders must obtain one copy of the bid document files in PDF format prior to or immediately following the mandatory pre-bid conference. These documents may be requested by email and accessed via a link provided within 48 hours. Full-size paper copies can be purchased as described in Section 20 of the instructions. All bidders must be licensed contractors in Tennessee, following all state regulations. The sealed bid envelope must include the contractor's name, address, license number, license expiration date, and relevant classification. Bidders must submit a bid security of five percent (5%) of the bid amount as specified, and bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive technicalities. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid meeting is required, and any vendors arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to attend or bid as general contractors.
