Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Foley, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
**As of December 16th, bid was awarded to Moody’s Electric for $79,879.** Question Deadline 12/08/2025 at 1:30 PM CT Bidders shall direct all requests for explanation or additional information concerning the meaning or interpretation of the conditions or attached specifications of this invitation shall be referred to Wanda Gautney in writing or e-mail (wgautney@baldwincountyal.gov) in sufficient time for reply before submission date of bids. Purchase and installation of one new 96 kW natural gas generator with a 400 amp automatic transfer switch for the Baldwin County Foley Satellite Courthouse located in Foley, Alabama. Gillette Model SP-960-3-2 or Equivalent, 60 HZ / 96 kW / 120 KVA / 334 Amp. ASCO 300 Series 400 Amp nonservice rated Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) or Equivalent The work described by these specifications includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, testing, and training to provide a complete and workable power system, including but not limited to the generator, the controller, automatic transfer switch, and delivery and installation as specified herein. It is the intent of these specifications to have a single source responsibility for the generator. That is, the power system shall be finished by a single contractor who shall be responsible for the design, coordination, and testing of the complete system. All equipment shall be new and of current production of a national firm that manufactures generator sets and controls, switchgear, and/or associated accessories. The contractor shall be responsible for removing the existing (old) diesel generator and diesel fuel tank located at the Baldwin County Foley Satellite Courthouse, 201 East Section Avenue, Foley, AL 36535 and placing the existing (old) diesel generator and diesel fuel tank on a truck or trailer for hauling away by County staff. The new natural gas generator will be placed on the existing concrete pad. Riviera Utilities will then install the natural gas meter and regulator, and the contractor will make at least one return visit to the site to complete the installation, including but not limited to connection of the natural gas meter and regulator to the new natural gas generator. The contractor will also be responsible for removing and properly disposing of the existing automatic transfer switch and installing a new automatic transfer switch (ATS). The contractor is strongly encouraged to visit the site and become familiar with the existing generator screen walls, ATS location, overall access to the site, and become aware of the means and methods required to deliver and place the new natural gas generator as well as place and operate any lifting equipment needed for removal of the existing (old) diesel generator and diesel fuel tank and placement of the new natural gas generator and ATS. The scope of work regarding the generator is further detailed below 1. Generator: Provide and install a standby power system and automatic transfer switch to supply electrical power in the event of failure of normal supply, consisting of a liquid cooled natural gas engine, an AC alternator and system controls with all necessary accessories for a complete operating system. Contractor shall remove the existing automatic transfer switch and furnish and install a new ASCO 300 series 400 Amp NEMA 3R nonservice rated automatic transfer switch or approved equal. To avoid disruption of courthouse services all work shall be performed on the weekend or after hours as directed by Baldwin County staff. Delivery and installation shall be as soon as possible after the receipt of order, but no more than forty (40) days.
