PURPOSE The City of College Park is initiating a traffic signal installation project at the intersection of Roosevelt Highway (US 29), Camp Creek Parkway, and Lesley Drive to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and support future development in the area. This intersection experiences high traffic volumes and complex turning movements, which have led to congestion and increased risk of accidents. The installation of a modern traffic signal system will provide better control, reduce delays, and improve pedestrian and vehicular safety. This project aligns with the City's transportation goals to modernize infrastructure, reduce traffic conflicts, and support multimodal mobility in key corridors. SCOPE of SERVICE The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the traffic signal installation, including but not limited to: 1. Pre-Construction Services o Site survey and utility location o Coordination with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and utility providers o Traffic control plan development 2. Signal Installation o Installation of traffic signal poles, mast arms, and foundations o Mounting of signal heads, pedestrian signals, and push buttons o Installation of the controller cabinet and signal controllerWiring, conduit, and electrical connections o Integration with existing traffic management systems (if applicable) 3. Roadway Modifications o Pavement markings and signage updates o ADA-compliant pedestrian crosswalks and curb ramps o Minor grading or sidewalk adjustments as needed4. Testing and Activation o Functional testing of all signal components o Timing and phasing adjustments o Final inspection and signal activation 5. Documentation and Closeout o As-built drawings and equipment specifications o Warranty documentation o Final project report and turnover to City staff
