Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Lake Placid, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade recreation facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the HVAC and Electrical Contracts for the Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds Spectator Building and Emergency Shelter. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Town Supervisor, and labeled with the contract title for either Contract 3 - HVAC or Contract 4 - Electrical. The scope includes all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work as required for the Show Grounds Spectator Building and Emergency Shelter in Lake Placid, New York. Only registered plan holders are eligible to submit a bid; registration requires submitting organization details and contact information to North Woods Engineering. Addenda will be issued only to registered plan holders. Bid selection will be made to the lowest qualified, responsible bidder, with the right reserved to reject any or all bids or waive informality to best assure the efficient performance of the work. Base Bid Work HVAC - All Construction Work related to the HVAC system Base Bid Work Electrical - All Construction Work related to the electrical system. Anticipated Award Date: 9 December 2025 Site Access and Start Date: 15 December 2025 Substantial Completion: 1 June 2026 Final Completion: 15 June 2026 End of Questions: (Close ofBusiness) 18 November 2025 - All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Heating, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation (HVAC) - The HVAC Contract is responsible for all Contract Requirements and General Requirements (Division 0 and 01), and all work specifically indicated on the Mechanical Drawings, and such work types, including Demolition and cutting and patching as specifically required to complete the work ofthe HVAC installation. All contractors are responsible for providing a complete installation oftheir work, a "turnkey" installation, as though there were no other contractors, with the exception ofsuch work that is indicated to be done by another contractor. Summary ofWork Project: Show Grounds - Spectator Building and Emergency Shelter - Contract 3 HVAC, Contract 4 Electrical Major work includes that encompassed by the following Drawing Sheets: a) M Series: Ml to M23 Work in the Mechanical Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: a) Coordinating with all other Prime Contractors b) Conduct all work in accordance with the applicable codes and standards as detailed by the Project Plans Provide and install HVAC systems and equipment Provide and install HVAC controls Clean and remove all associated mechanical construction debris Payment Items (Contract 3 - HVAC) a) Item No. 1 - Base Bid Work (Lump Sum): The Heating, Air Conditioning and Ventilation Contractor shall, under the Base Bid, provide all labor, equipment, materials, temporary facilities, overhead and profit to construct the proposed Show Grounds and Spectator and Emergency Shelter Building HVAC system. Included in the HVAC construction are ducts, vents, louvers, piping, equipment, and associated accessories for a complete HVAC system installation. b) Item No .2 - Field Order Allowance Electrical (E) - The Electrical Contract is responsible for all Contract Requirements and General Requirements (Division 0 and 01), and all work specifically indicated on the Electrical and Fire Alarm Drawings, and such work types, including Demolition and cutting and patching as specifically required to complete the work ofthe Electrical and Fire Alarm installation. All contractors are responsible for providing a complete installation oftheir work, a "turnkey" installation, as though there were no other contractors, with the exception ofsuch work that is indicated to be done by another contractor. Major work includes that encompassed by the following Drawing Sheets: a) E Series: E0 to E19 b) FA Series: FA001 to FA501 Work in the Electrical Contract includes but is not limited to the following - Coordination with other Prime Contractors Conduct all work in accordance with all applicable codes and standards as detailed by the Project Plans. Provide electrical service and distribution equipment and associated grounding requirements Provide electrical devices, switches, disconnects as detailed Control and Instrumentation wiring Provide electrical connections to equipment furnished by other Prime Contractors as specified. Provide and install a diesel-fired generator Clean and remove all associated electrical construction debris Major work includes that encompassed by the following Drawing Sheets: a) E Series: E0 to E19 b) FA Series: FA001 to FA501 Work in the Electrical Contract includes but is not limited to the Payment Items: (Contract 4 - Electrical) a) Item No. 1 - Base Bid Work (Lump Sum): The Electrical Contractor shall, under the Base Bid, provide all labor, equipmet, materials, temporary facilities, overhead and profit to construct the proposed Show Grounds and Spectator and Emergency Shelter Building electrical system. Electrical work includes conduit, conductors, cabling, grounding, electrical boxes, lighting, controls, switches, panel boards, wiring devices, structured cabling, and fire detection and alarms.
