All questions submitted in writing prior to the deadline will be compiled and answered in writing. pre bid meeting notes: Due to availability limitations, Harris County request that vendors limit their firms' attendance to one (1) company representative. Persons with disabilities requiring special accommodations should contact the Office of the Purchasing Agent at (713) 274-4400 at least two (2) days prior to the conference. The County requires Vendors to make a good faith effort to meet or exceed a 13.40% goal for participation by M/WBEs on this project. Harris County intends to procure a CMAR, in compliance with TEX. GOVT CODE ANN. 2267.251, et. seq, as amended, to assume the risk as general contractor and provide consultation to Harris County during and after the design. The project consists of the ground-up construction of a new, approximately 15,000 SF Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) as an expansion of the Harris County Sheriffs Office (HCSO) Training Academy. The facility will include classrooms, conference rooms, and support spaces such as an office, an open plan for workstations, locker rooms with restrooms and showers, a break room, storage, a janitor's closet, and utility rooms. The scope of work also includes all materials, labor, and associated sitework required for full completion in accordance with the construction documents to be developed. Architect of Record (Architect) for this project is Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architects, Inc. The total estimated construction budget for the above effort is $13,990,000. The estimated time of construction is twelve (12) months. All work to be designed in accordance with applicable building codes, Harris County regulations and criteria including property covenants and restrictions.
