Site work and paving for a road / highway in Thomaston, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
The project includes the resurfacing and associated work within the right-of-way of 56 roads in Upson County for a total of approximately 52 miles of resurfacing. Sealed bids will be received, and all work must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days following receipt of Notice to Proceed. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Contractor and all subcontractors must obtain a business license in Georgia, be fully insured, and be a Licensed Contractor in the State of Georgia. Contractor must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance, commercial automobile liability, statutory worker's compensation insurance, and employee dishonesty and/or crimes coverage as specified. The successful bidder will secure and pay for all permits, assessments, and fees required for construction. Upson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any unqualified or financially doubtful bidder.
