The work to be completed consists of water system improvements with the installation of 3,700 LF of 8" CL350 DIP water main, 90 meters, new service lines by open cut and trenchless applications, new hydrants, gate valves, additional fittings, testing, and all necessary appurtenances. Sanitary sewer system improvements include installing 3,572 LF of 8" gravity main, 16 manholes, 90 new cleanouts, and all required equipment, labor, materials, and testing. Storm water system improvements require constructing a stormwater pond with outlet control structures, headwalls, various sizes of RCP through open cut applications, and catch basins and junction boxes. Road improvements consist of 3/4 mile of full-depth asphalt paving, removing and replacing driveway aprons, curb and gutter installation, valve and manhole adjustments, and new signage and striping. General items include mobilization, demobilization, traffic control, erosion control, pressure testing, and stump removal. All utility work must be coordinated with a site contractor selected by the developer. Any contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of Georgia. Bids must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check of at least 5% of the base bid. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price are required for the successful bidder. This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968. The Build America, Buy America Act applies, requiring materials to be produced in the United States unless a waiver is granted. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
