Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Sewer Replacement. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available on file at A.L. Franks Engineering and City Hall. Copies of these documents may be obtained by depositing $100.00 with A.L. Franks Engineering for each set of PDF documents obtained. The deposit will not be refunded. PDF documents may be requested at www.alfranksengineering.com. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid for contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Atlanta, Texas, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Not less than the federally determined prevailing wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, and Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States. The City of Atlanta, Texas reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Atlanta, Texas for a period not to exceed 30 / 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
