Description

Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Completed plans call for the construction of a 64,800-square-foot, one-story above grade, 120-unit multi-residential development.

Question Deadline 12/12/2025 The Nunavut Housing Corporation (NHC) Department of Contracts, Procurement & Logistics is requesting proposals for design-build services for apartment buildings to be constructed in Iqaluit, NU. The proposed lot to be built upon is a R3 zoned irregular rectangular parcel of land measuring approximately 55 meters deep by 150 meters long for a total area of 6,000+ square meters. The lot is served by a utilidor system and situated in an area which is prone to snow drifting and potential drainage challenges due to its topography. Proponents should be aware that NHC intends that this lot have between 80 and 120 units spread across at minimum two apartment buildings. The apartment buildings should be a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Construction at each apartment building shall start in separate, consecutive fiscal years.
