Q&A Deadline 01/22/2026 4:00 PM (PST) The work to be performed consists, in general, of removing existing culverts, installing two new 60" reinforced concrete culverts, installing cast-in-place concrete headwalls and wingwalls, excavation, backfilling, and compaction, paving Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A), cold plane and overlay, minor channel regrading, installing new object markers, and painting traffic stripes. The County will receive sealed bids for construction on a highway in accordance with plans and special provisions. No bid will be considered unless made on a bid form furnished by the County's Public Works Department and accompanied by bidder's security equal to 10% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must complete the work, including plant establishment work, within 40 working days. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The lowest bid will be determined by the total aggregate sum of the Base Bid. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price on the County's form. All documents must be scannable and photocopiable. Each bidder must be properly licensed at the time the contract is awarded. The required contractor license classification is A or C-12. The contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements. No discrimination shall be made in the employment of persons for this project.
