For furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Milling, Leveling, Resurfacing, and Sidewalk improvements to Kendall Street, Charlton Street, Birch Street, Cherry Street, Pickerton Street, Cobb Street, Wendall Street, and 4th Avenue located in the City of Milan, Georgia This project shall be financed with the Transportation Investment Act (TIA), Local Maintenance and Improvements Grant (LMIG), Local Roads Assistance (LRA), and other city funding as required. The Contractor shall be a current Prequalified Contractor with the Georgia Department of Transportation Office of Contract Administration or shall be approved in writing prior to bid being opened by the City of Nashville. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Milan in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Milan. The Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and the Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All work on the project must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner.
