Site work for a water / sewer project in Dawson, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Work consists of the replacement of approximately 27 fire hydrants including isolation valves, hydrant lead, fittings and connections to existing water main; installation of three meter vaults including valves, piping, and fittings; pavement replacements, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete installation. All work is to be completed according to the plans and specifications. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Stephen Rakestraw at srakestraw@cartersloope.com Bids must be sealed and accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Contractors must provide proof of a valid State of Georgia Utility Contractor license and employ a "Utility Manager" certification holder with oversight of all utility work. The contractor must register and participate in the federal work authorization program (E-Verify) as required. All materials must comply with the American Iron & Steel Act, and the project is funded in part or whole by GEFA SRF monies. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
