Site work for a civil project in Dawson, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade road / highway.
**As of January 21, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. Next week. Sealed bids are invited for street and storm drainage system improvements to serve Henry Mitchell Drive, Jones Drive, and Brick Street. The project consists of approximately 2,350 linear feet of 15"-30" storm drain piping, 2,750 linear feet of 24" roll-over curb and gutter, various curb inlets and drop inlets, and associated 9.5 mm Superpave Asphalt Resurfacing, along with all additional items indicated in the Contract Documents. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum and unit price basis, including any alternate bid items if indicated in the bid form. Bids must be submitted by prospective bidders who are on record as having purchased and received a complete set of bidding documents from the issuing office. Bid security must be furnished as specified. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and payment bond, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, with bonds from sureties listed in the U.S. Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 and licensed in Georgia. All required permits are expected to be obtained before bid opening, except NPDES Stormwater permitting, which must be handled by the contractor. Property acquisition for easements or right of way is not expected. The project is funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant and is subject to Section 3 employment and contracting requirements and Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) compliance.
