Removal & Replacement of Virgin Granular Activated Carbon The City of Lawrence, the Awarding Authority, by Its Department of Pub- Lic Works Invites Sealed Bids From Qualified Contractors for the Yearly Removal and Replacement of Approx- Imately 24.5 Tons of Virgin Granular Activated Carbon and the Removal, Reactivation and Replacement of Approximately 21 Tons of Custom Reactivated Granular Activated Car- Bon for the City of Lawrence Water Treatment Plant Located at 400 Wa- Ter St. In Lawrence, Ma. Bids Shall Be Clearly Marked on the Outside of Re- Moval and Replacement of Virgin Granular Activated Carbon. Bids Shall Be Accompa- Nied by a Bid Deposit of Not Less Than Five (5%) Percent of the Value of the Proposed Work in Accordance With M.g.l. C. 30, 39m(a), and Made Payable to the City of Lawrence, the Awarding Authority. The City of Lawrence Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality in, or to Reject Any and All Bids to Make an Award Deemed in the Best Interests Of the City.
