Borough of Masontown - Water Meter Replacement Project - Rebid Each bid shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to Masontown Borough in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The Borough of Masontown reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Award criteria and basis for rejection will be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders included in the Project Manual/Bid Package. No bid may be withdrawn for one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. All bids shall remain irrevocable for One Hundred Twenty (120) days after the actual date of the bid opening. Contract Scope: The installation of +/- 1,244 exterior water meter pits along the line of ownership (public right of way) to include all restoration and appurtenant items of construction. In addition, +/- 312 MXU transceivers will be installed on water meter pits previously installed by the Borough of Masontown. The Borough of Masontown will supply Meter Pits, Meter Setters, Meters, Insulating Disks, Locking Lids, MXU and 7 1/2 " idler. Contractor shall supply base material, blocks, appurtenant fittings and any other required materials for a complete installation. No extensive replacement of the service piping is expected.
